Brave New Foundation Launches "Operation In Their Boots"

Brave New Foundation will be launching their new film titled, “Operation In Their Boots” this November 9, 2009. The movie is a Film Fellowship which features Veterans and current enlisted servicemembers fighting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan sharing their experiences through their own documentaries.

Military.com wrote, “Richard Ray Perez, Executive Producer of the documentary series In Their Boots, will present information and guidelines of what will be a historical opportunity to capture the impact the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan have had on Veterans and their loved ones with a rare intimacy and communicate experiences that will define a new generation of Veterans.” The launch will be held at the Foundation Courtyard in Culver City, CA.

Perez said, “We recognize the unique perspective of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and service members and their ability to tell original and compelling stories. Their documentaries will be a testament to how their lives, and the lives of the people around them, have been profoundly impacted by their experience serving in our nation’s current military conflicts.”

The Fellowship which is open to Veterans outside of Los Angeles, will allow five participants to be commissioned and attend a “Filmmakers Bootcamp” to polish their film making skills and receive compensation.

“IN THEIR BOOTS, now launching its third season produces a series of documentaries about the impact the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan are having on people here at home. Each episode is available for free viewing online at www.intheirboots.com,” Military.com wrote.
